GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Over the weekend, the University of Indianapolis men's tennis team will travel to Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Mich. for the ITA Midwest Regional Championships. Match play will commence the morning of Saturday, Sept. 28, and will run through Monday, Sept. 30. The Greyhounds return All-American Matthieu Derache to the lineup, who made it all the way to the singles finals in last year's ITA Championship. He enters this tournament with vengeance on his mind, and hopes to uphold UIndy's rich tradition of success in this tournament.Â
The Hounds' bring back David Simeonov and Manu Lanteri, who will both compete in the singles A-Draw alongside Derache. The team also welcomes five newcomers, each looking to make noise in the 177-man draw. The doubles pairs are Lanteri/Simeonov, Derache/Asier Ayllon Prado, Lorenzo Di Cursi/Tadeo Gaggiofatto, and Nicolas Balzola Izquierdo/Pablo Alcon Palacios.Â
