INDIANAPOLIS – After two convincing home meets against FIndlay and No. 23-ranked Maryville, the UIndy wrestling team remained at No. 19 in the the latest Open Mat NCAA Division II wrestling rankings.
Both
Derek Blubaugh (197) and
Cale Gray (285) remained in the top-20 individual rankings for their respective weight classes, with Blubaugh staying atop 197 and Gray jumping three spots to 12.
Gray's strong performances against No. 3-ranked Ryan Herman (Dec. 5-1) from Maryville, and FIndlay's Zain Bell (TF 15-0 5:19), vaulted him three spots in the 285 rankings.
The Greyhounds will look to continue their momentum into this weekend when they travel to take on GLVC opponent Drury on Saturday Jan. 25, and will look to not only extend their win streak to three on the season, but extend their win streak against Drury to nine.
