JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The inaugural UIndy triathlon team continues to make waves, as five student-athletes and the program itself were recognized as College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) Scholar All-America recipients.
 
The Greyhounds led the entire UIndy athletics department with a 3.73 team GPA during the fall semester. The five student-athletes, in alphabetical order, are Ainsleigh Cardone, Gabrielle Harrell, Miah Sosenheimer, Lillian Sunbury, and Lex Wilhelm.
 
To be eligible, the team must have a 3.2 GPA or greater for the 2024 fall semester, whereas the student-athlete must have achieved a 3.5 GPA or greater while racing at the National Championships. The five Hounds earned honorable mention honors, as each of them finished outside the top 21 at the event.
 
UIndy is one of 33 programs in the country, including one of 11 DII programs, to be recognized as a Scholar All-America team.
