Box Score INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's tennis team kicked off regular season competition with a 5-2 win over Tiffin this Friday, January 31.

The Greyhounds took an early jump on the Dragons by clinching the doubles point. Silvia Zappoli and Jimena De Pablos Hernando made quick work of Celine Ferron and Curstin Hackenburg, winning 6-0. Linya Chen and Suryanshi routed through Anaelle Lepinay and Francesca Milani 6-1 to seal the doubles point.
In singles, Chen took home the first match against Jemimah Choi 6-7 6-3 6-3 to give the Hounds a 2-0 lead. Tiffin responded well in facing this deficit, as Emily Barrett topped Zappoli 7-6 7-5, and Lepinay bested Sofia Cardenas 3-6 7-5 6-2.
As the score was knotted up at two a piece, the Hounds rattled off four straight wins to secure the win. Andrea Garcia Gonzales bageled Ashley Reinart 6-0 6-0 to give UIndy a 3-2 lead. De Pablos Hernando then defeated Milani 6-1 6-3, and Suryanshi closed the afternoon out with a 6-0 6-2 win over Ferron.
