ROLLA, MO - The UIndy women's soccer team dropped their second straight game on Friday night against Missouri S&T, 4-1.
Tonight's win for the Miners is tied for the largest margin of victory in 22 meetings between these two teams, with the only other three goal win coming in 2007 when the Greyhounds won 4-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was all Miners, as Missouri S&T netted three goals on nine shots in the first 26 minutes to jump out in front of UIndy early. The Hounds struggled to find opportunities, as Ali Dobbs and Lyza Shamy created the only shots for UIndy in the first half.
The Greyhounds came out and settled things down early on in the second half, with shots on frame by Emily DeWitt and Rochelle Maxson picking up the Hounds' second and third shots on goal in the game.
Both teams traded goals just 11 minutes apart in the second half. The Miners grabbed a four goal lead in the 53rd minute, but Izzie Wallace cut the lead back to three after the team's press forced a turnover and led to a long range effort from Wallace that beat the Miners' Anastasia Barcom.
Morgan Peters had the one remaining chance for the Greyhounds in the second half, but her effort was saved in the 77th minute.

- Wallace scored her second goal in three matches, bringing her season total to three.
