LIBERTY, Mo. — The University of Indianapolis volleyball team went 1-1 in its final road trip of the regular season, sweeping William Jewell on Saturday after falling 3-2 to Rockhurst on Friday.

Paige Parlanti was a crucial element of the Greyhound offense, averaging five kills per set with a game-high 25 kills in the five-set match against the Hawks. Maddie Lynch and Lauren Gips also contributed double-digit kills with 14 and 11 kills, respectively, for the Hounds. Five Hounds scooped up double-digit digs, led by Macy Bruton with 27, followed by Makenzie Pflederer with a season high 21, Paige Parlanti (19), Carly Fonda (14) and Allie Wuestenfeld (13).
The Hounds jumped on top, taking the opening set 25-22. The Hawks answered opening set 2 on a 5-0 run over the Greyhounds. The Hounds went on an 8-1 run to put lift them over the Hawks in the middle of set two, but the Hawks answered swiftly with another run to take set two 25-18.
After dropping sets two and three, the Greyhounds battled to force a fifth set. A 6-0 run in the middle of the fourth gave UIndy the lead 17-12. The Hounds carried the momentum until the end, capitalizing on set four with kills from Lynch and Fonda.
The Hounds pressured the Hawks with a 4-0 run on match point to bring the score 13-14 in favor of Rockhurst, and Sarah Pyle ended the match with her 18th kill of the night to give Rockhurst the win.

The Hounds dominated the opening set 25-8 with Pflederer contributing five of her 13 kills of the match in the first set. Lynch gave the final two kills the Hounds needed to end their dominant first set both off Fonda assists.
The Cardinals jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the second set, which would be their largest and last lead of the night. Lynch gave the Hounds seven kills in the second set, 25-20, again finishing the set with a kill assisted by Fonda to give.
The Hounds opened the final set with three straight kills from Lynch and Fasbender. The teams traded points with the set seeing three ties in the middle of the third, but the Cardinals could not overcome the Hounds, who would end the set on a 4-1 run capitalized with a Pflederer Kill off a Claire Morris assist.
