CLEVELAND – With a successful fall semester in the books, the University of Indianapolis finds itself in the top 25 in the 2025-26 academic year's first set of Division II Learfield Directors' Cup standings, released Tuesday. The Greyhounds combined to generate 167 points this fall to grab 24th place overall and top all GLVC schools in the initial rankings.
Three UIndy programs earned points for the institution, with
volleyball,
football and
men's soccer all advancing at least to the second round in their respective NCAA postseason tournaments. The Greyhound volleyball squad led the way with 64 points after a thrilling run to the Midwest Region final. Meanwhile, both football and men's soccer won first-round contests to compile 53 and 50 points, respectively.
The Hounds' point total was good for the school's second-highest fall total ever. The 197 points accumulated in the autumn of 2019 still stand as the Hounds' fall record, boosted by four scoring teams and a Final Four appearance by the men's soccer.

The Directors' Cup honors institutions maintaining a broad-based athletics program, achieving success in many sports, both men's and women's, with points awarded based on each institution's finish at NCAA Championships. UIndy has finished in the top five each of the last five full years and is one of only three Division II institutions in the country that can claim an active streak of 17 consecutive top-20 finishes in the final Cup standings.
