Greenville Tenn. - To close their stint in the Scenic City Invitational, the University of Indianapolis women's tennis team swept Tusculum University 4-0. The Greyhounds improve to 5-4 on the year.
INS AND OUTS
UIndy set the tone for the match winning the doubles match, taking the opening point 2-1. Tyffaine Pais and Sofia Cardenas took down Elodie Baechler and Ylva Frafjord Landa 6-2 in #1 doubles. The Hounds' #2 doubles team of Jimena De Pablos Hernando and Silvia Zappoli overpowered Katie Bradley and Valeria Diaz 7-5.
In #1 singles, Suryanshi extended the UIndy lead to two with a 6-2 6-1 straight-set win over Frafjord Landa.
Chen followed suit, routing Danielsson in #3 singles with a 6-3 win in the first, and a bagel in the second.
De Pablos Hernando sealed the deal for the Hounds, with a third-set tiebreaker victory in #2 singles against Baechler, winning 6-1, 5-7, 10-5.

The Greyhounds will travel to Lebanon, IL, to play in their first conference match against McKendree on April 12 at 2 PM.
