Bladon, Da Silva Propel UIndy to Commanding 18-3 Victory

ALLENDALE, MI – The No. 9 UIndy women's lacrosse team rebounded on Friday night with a 18-3 win over Northern Michigan, snapping the team's three game losing streak.

Sage Da Silva led the way for UIndy with six points, which ties a career high for Da Silva. She's recorded six points two other times in her career against Notre Dame College (3/13/24 and Rockhurst (4/5/24).

INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds used a strong first half from Da Silva and Olivia Bladon who combined for five of the team's eight goals in the first half to jump out to an 8-3 lead after two quarters.

But UIndy didn't stop there, as they outscored the Wildcats 10-0 the rest of the way. It was more Da Silva and Bladon, who scored or assisted on six of the team's 10 second half goals. Along with those two; Ally Savino and Malaena Michielin each scored twice, while Lucy Sander got a goal of her own.

The Hounds' defense was stellar in the second half, shutting out Northern Michigan thanks to forcing seven turnovers, going perfect on all seven clear attempts and holding the Wildcats to only three total shot attempts, which closed out the team's 18-3 victory.
