ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The UIndy men's lacrosse displayed an impressive defensive start on Saturday afternoon before eventually falling to No. 13 Lewis by a score of 9-5.

Nathan Lam and
Nick Luitwieler led the Greyhounds with two points apiece, while
AJ Preachuk made 11 saves between the pipes.

INS & OUTS
The UIndy defense held Lewis scoreless for the first 22 minutes, with
Keegan Laughlin responsible for the game's lone goal in the early going. The Flyers broke out in the second quarter, however, scoring six times to pull away from the visiting Greyhounds.

Trailing 8-1, the Hounds netted four consecutive goals to inch back within three. Lam found the back of the cage during the stretch, while
Triston Schaffer capped the scoring run. An empty possession diminished UIndy's comeback attempt with five minutes left, as the Flyers iced the league bout with another goal.

Lewis controlled possession via the faceoff, securing 13 of 18 chances.
TJ Reddington won four of the Hounds' wins at the dot.
