Men’s Basketball Announces 2025-26 Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy men's basketball head coach Scott Heady announced the program's 2025-26 schedule on Tuesday afternoon, filled with 28 regular season games and one exhibition contest.

Of the 28 games on the regular-season slate, 25 are against Midwest Region opponents, including 20 as part of the GLVC schedule.

The Greyhounds open at 26-time Big 10 champion Purdue in an exhibition on Wednesday, Oct. 29. UIndy last visited West Lafayette in November 2021, falling 86-64 with a team-high 14 points and five assists from Cory Miller Jr. The Boilermakers advanced to the NCAA DI Sweet Sixteen later that season.

A host of familiar opponents are on the docket this winter, including return trips to Kentucky Wesleyan and Wayne State in mid-November. The Hounds also host Great Midwest members Thomas More and Hillsdale to wrap up their Feast Week plans before visiting Lewis to begin conference action on Dec. 1. Other non-conference matchups scheduled are in-region Parkside on Dec. 16 and a trip to the Sunshine State for games against host Tampa and Eckerd.

UIndy faces each GLVC opponent at least once, drawing the likes of Illinois Springfield, Lewis, Maryville, McKendree, Missouri-St. Louis, and Quincy twice. The Greyhounds wrap up the regular season with four of their last five games at Nicoson Hall, with Senior Day likely set for Saturday, Feb. 28.

The 2026 GLVC Championship Tournament is scheduled for March 5-8, while the NCAA DII Midwest Regional begins March 13. The DII Elite Eight will be held in Pittsburgh at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, beginning March 25, with the DII national championship played at Gainbridge Arena in downtown Indianapolis on Sunday, April 5.
