The Hounds look to bounce back against a ranked opponent in the Miners of Missouri S&T, after dropping a road contest to Drury last Friday. UIndy currently holds a 9-10 record on the season with a 7-4 GLVC record. The squad is led by Carmelo Harris, averaging 16.9 ppg. Harris is also the conference leader in free-throw percentage, shooting 90.2 percent from the charity stripe. Shaun Arnold has been a motor on the UIndy defense, leading the conference in steals this season with 45.
#16 Missouri S&T
The Miners fell to the McKendree Bearcats in Rolla, MO, last Thursday, 59-70, after only trailing by five points at the half. Andrew Young leads the S&T, averaging 16.2 ppg and 6.9 rpg. The 6'9" senior also sits second in the GLVC in blocks per game, averaging 1.7. Sophomore Adam Rickman sits behind Arnold at second in the conference in steals with 42 on the season. Blaise Beauchamp has played a big role in the Miner offense in conference play. The 6'1" senior is averaging 19.2 ppg in conference play and recently put up 23 points with five-three pointers against the Bearcats.
Lincoln
The Blue Tigers will make the trek to UIndy after facing Illinois Springfield on Thursday night. Lincoln split their homestead last weekend, defeating Maryville 86-67, before falling to McKendree 48-60 on Saturday. Senior Solomon Oraegbu leads his squad in scoring with 19.9 ppg. The 6'3" forward has had five games with over 20 points on the board, with his season high of 37 coming in an overtime win against Haskell. The Blue Tigers have the conference leader in blocks and blocks per game in Mattieu Biembongo, averaging 2 blocks per game with 30 rejections on the season.
