ST. LOUIS – The No. 25 UIndy wrestling team dropped its second straight GLVC dual in a row, this time falling to Maryville, 22-13. While the Greyhounds came out on the wrong side from a team score, four individuals came away with wins on Saturday night.
Ethan Farnell (197) highlighted the individual wins tonight, taking down the No. 14-ranked wrestler, Jeremiah Larson, while Aidan Sprague (133), Gavin Garcia (149) and Christian Chavez (184) rounded out the winners for UIndy tonight.
Maryville has taken four out of the last five duals against the Greyhounds, with the only UIndy victory in that stretch coming last season when the Hounds won 26-9.

Farnell highlighted the four wins for UIndy tonight, upsetting No. 15 Jeremiah Larson with a sudden victory take down with 45 seconds left in the match. Farnell has continued to showcase why he's the real deal as a freshman, adding a 24th win to his resume this season.
No. 10-ranked Sprague in 133, and No. 11-ranked Gavin Garcia both came away with wins in their respective weight classes. Sprague used an eight point third period, with all eight coming in the final 25 seconds of the match to snatch a win from JP Homfield. While Garcia took care of business, using five take downs to earn a 16-4 major decision.
Chavez claimed the final victory for UIndy on Saturday night with an 8-1 decision win over Dalton Litzsinger. Chavez's first and third period take downs proved to be enough for a comfortable victory, which marked his fifth consecutive win in a dual for UIndy since the start of the new year.
