INDIANAPOLIS – After picking up two conference wins last week, the UIndy volleyball team stayed at the region's No. 2 spot in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) released Monday. New to Division II this year, NPI evaluates a team's season by considering both results and the strength of the teams it plays.

The Hounds defeated the region's No. 5 team, Rockhurst, in three sets on Saturday following a sweep over another GLVC opponent in William Jewell on Friday.

The primary purpose of NPI is to compare teams within Division II for ranking and NCAA championship selection. Once automatic qualifiers are determined, remaining teams are considered for at-large selection based on NPI ranking until the championship field is filled. NPI may also play a role in championship seeding. Seeding and bracketing procedures vary by division and sport. Click/tap the links above for more information.

Rankings will now be updated daily until selections. The NCAA DII women's volleyball selection show is set to air on NCAA.com on Sunday, Nov. 15.
