GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The UIndy swimming & diving team took advantage of a pair of Last Chance Meet this weekend, with a slew of Greyhounds improving their chances to qualify for the upcoming NCAA DII Championships. See below for the highlights.

CMU LAST CHANCE
Eight Greyhounds made the trip to Grand Junction, Colo., and Colorado Mesa University to get a taste of competing at altitude.

With the NCAA affording a conversion rate for such meets,
Elisa Funes made the most of the trip. The senior from Davie, Fla., posted a converted time of 2:15.36 in the 200 breaststroke, upping her B-cut status for Nationals. She now ranks 11th among DII swimming in the event. Senior
Hanna Burke also posted a B-cut time, swimming a converted 2:04.62 in the 200 fly prelims.

UINDY LAST CHANCE
Indiana State and Franklin College joined the Hounds in their ow Last Chance Meet, which spanned both Friday and Saturday. A number of Greyhounds cashed in a B cut at the meet, including
Danila Sita, who went sub-55 in the 100 fly with a solid B-cut time of 54.76.
Addisyn Newman shaved .01 off her best B-cut time in the 50 free.

Reigning GLVC sprint champ
Kirabo Namutebi posted an eye-opening 22.14 in the 50 free time trial, good for her fastest 50 time of the season.

Austin Willoughby entered his name into the NCAAs conversion, posting a B-cut of 20.15 in the 50 free.
Pietro Paciotti notch a fresh B cut of his own in the 100 free, touching in 44.28.
UP NEXT
The biggest meet of the year is all that remains on the UIndy schedule. The NCAA DII Championships are set of March 10-14 in Evansville, Ind.
