TEMPE, Ariz. – In the latest release of the ITA National Poll, the UIndy men's tennis team remained ranked eighteenth, it was announced Wednesday, March 25.
The Greyhounds are coming off their fourth ranked-win of the season, dominating No. 20 Tiffin 6-1. Yesterday's winning effort moved their record to 8-4, and still have the second highest ITA rank in the Midwest Region. The Hounds are 5-0 against regional opponents.
Individually, the Greyhounds had three players ranked in singles, and one doubles team within the top 50. Asier Ayllon Prado cracked the listings at No. 11 in the singles poll, with two ranked singles wins inside his 14-5 overall record in singles. Tadeo Gaggiofatto was listed at No. 24, also holding two ranked singles wins and a 14-5 overall record. Vladislav Gorbatenko rounds UIndy's representation in singles, holding down the No. 72 spot.
In doubles, Ayllon Prado and Mathieu Derache were named the No. 42 pair, sporting a 7-2 clip.
The Hounds will compete on the road next Friday, April 3rd, against No. 10 Wayne State at 3 PM.
