LIBERTY, Mo. — The University of Indianapolis secured a decisive 13-5 victory over William Jewell College on Saturday. The Greyhounds dominated the dot, winning 15 of 21 faceoffs, which helped propel their offensive output.
Amadeo Miller led the Greyhounds' offense with four goals on seven shots, demonstrating accuracy with six shots on goal. Laughlin contributed significantly by scoring two goals and adding two assists, effectively balancing scoring and playmaking. Koehler dominated the faceoff circle, winning 14 of 18 faceoffs to maintain possession for Indianapolis. In goal, Preachuk made a crucial impact with 16 saves on 34 shots faced, keeping the Greyhounds competitive throughout the game.

Indianapolis started the first quarter with a strong offensive effort as
Mike Rettberg scored the first goal, assisted by
Keegan Laughlin at 13:12. The scoring momentum continued with
Ryan Carver finding the net, courtesy of an assist from
Dalton Yates. The Greyhounds maintained pressure, leading to another goal by
Amadeo Miller, assisted by
Calen Tucker. By the midpoint of the quarter, they had established a 4-1 lead.
Indianapolis extended its advantage further with goals from Miller and
Matt Pereira, both assisted by Laughlin, pushing the lead to 6-1. Despite William Jewell's efforts, including a man-up goal by Seth Heath, the Greyhounds responded quickly with goals from Carver and Laughlin, further extending the lead to 8-2.

Indianapolis built on its lead in the second quarter, with Miller finding the net twice in rapid succession, increasing his season total to 14 goals. The first goal was an unassisted effort, while the second came with an assist from
Tanner Hahm. The momentum continued as Laughlin, assisted by Rettberg, added another goal, extending the lead further.
Despite a goal by William Jewell's Aaron Maline, the quarter concluded with the Greyhounds maintaining a robust advantage, closing with a score of 11-3 in their favor.
Indianapolis maintained its momentum in the third quarter with effective play on both ends of the field. After several exchanges, Pereira scored at 8:54 with an assist from Hahm, marking his 26th goal of the season. The Greyhounds continued to pressure William Jewell, and
Trent Taylor capitalized on a man-up opportunity with a goal at 4:24, again assisted by Hahm.
William Jewell managed to find the net once during the quarter with a goal by Nathaniel Leroux. Despite this, Indianapolis' defensive efforts, including multiple saves by
AJ Preachuk, kept the home team at bay. As the quarter concluded, the Greyhounds held a 13-4 lead, maintaining their strong advantage going into the final quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Indianapolis began with a solid faceoff win by
Jonah Koehler, which set the tone for their defensive efforts throughout the quarter. Despite multiple shooting attempts, including those by Laughlin and Hahm, the team was unable to capitalize on their offensive opportunities, with William Jewell's goalkeeper, Isaac Kessler, making several key saves.
William Jewell managed to find the back of the net at the 9:40 mark with a goal from Heath, but the Greyhounds maintained strong defensive pressure. Despite not adding to their lead, the Greyhounds ended the game with a decisive 13-5 victory, maintaining dominance throughout the match.
