Derache carried that momentum over to singles competition, giving UIndy a 2-0 edge after a 6-1, 6-2 win over Prentits on court #2.

The Saints then leveled the match at 2-2 with a pair of quick results at #4 and #6 singles. Alvarez Gutierrez went first on court #4, downing Shelbaya 6-0, 6-2. Quilty followed that up with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Pablo Alcon at #6 singles.
