INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 7 UIndy softball team put it all together at Baumgarter Field on Sunday, dominating Lincoln with wins of 10-3 and 9-0. Six different Greyhounds homered on the day—five in game two alone— to emphasize the total team effort.

The Greyhounds make a trek to St. Louis next weekend to take on UMSL Saturday, April 18 and Maryville the following day.
Â
GAME 1 | UIndy 10, Lincoln 3
The bottom of the order did the heavy lifting early, as
Sydney Oliver's double and Emma Pirecy's triple helped fuel a second-inning rally and put the Hounds up 5-0.
Â
In the third, sophomore
Josie Jager smoked a ball up the middle for a two-run double, and later freshmanÂ
Christina Stankus put an exclamation point on the game with a two-run, pinch-hit dinger in the sixth.
Â
Starter
Cheyenne Eads (21-2) went the distance in her 15th complete game of the season. She fanned nine and walked three in seven innings.
Â
Maya Rodriguez and
Shelby Cook combined for four singles and five runs scored, while
Cara Cooper went 2-for-3 with a run and a ribbie.
Â
GAME 2 | UIndy 9, Lincoln 0 (6 innings)
The power surge went to another level in the capper, as UIndy racked up five home runs for the first time since March of 2024 and saw five different Hounds homer for the first time since April of '21.
Â
Caitlin Bunte—the game two starting pitcher—helped her own cause with a solo homer in the second inning. Cooper and Cook followed suit with back-to-back solo shots in third, and later in the frame,
Paige Vickery broke it open with a three-run bomb to make to 7-0 UIndy. In the sixth,
Brooklyn Willis called game with her GLVC-leading 16th home run to invoke the run rule.
Â
All the while, Bunte orchestrated yet another stellar start in the circle. The freshman phenom faced just two batters over the minimum, as she no-hit everyone not named Abi Jorgenson, who accounted for the only two Tiger hits. Bunte finished with four Ks and has now tossed 17 2/3 consecutive innings without issuing a walk.
