TEMPE, Ariz. – The UIndy men's tennis team stayed ranked at fourteenth in the latest ITA National Poll, per the release Wednesday, April 22.
The Greyhounds remained parked in the national ranks following an undefeated weekend at home, where they defeated Illinois Springfield and Purdue Northwest. Last week's strong showing moved their overall record to 13-4, while boosting their regional record to a perfect 10-0. UIndy also holds five ranked-wins on the season, and are the highest ranked team in the Midwest in the latest poll publication.
Moving onto individual rankings, Asier Ayllon Prado was ranked in the top-20 for the seventh consecutive week, entering the new poll at No. 20. The sophomore's season record now sits at 21-5, while holding a pair of ranked wins. Tadeo Gaggiofatto came in at No. 45 in the latest publication, after a pair of wins last weekend. Gaggiofatto also owns two ranked wins in singles play, with an overall record of 17-5.
Ayllon Prado and Mathieu Derache moved back into the doubles listings, cracking the list at No. 50. The duo has a record of 11-3 paired together, and have won their last four matches.
Looking ahead, the Hounds will conclude the regular season this Saturday, April 25, with a 1 PM match against McKendree.
