Hounds Extend Win Streak to 13, Down Missouri Western

ST. JOSEPH, MO – Once again the No. 3 UIndy women's lacrosse team added a tally in the win column after a 19-5 win over Missouri Western, making it 13 straight wins for the Greyhounds.

13 wins is the longest win streak for UIndy since 2022, and is the third longest winning streak in program history, only behind the 2022 National Title winning season, and its 16 game win streak in 2019.

The Greyhounds were led by the Canadian trio of; Olivia Bladon, Malaena Michielin, and Reese Fahlke who combined for 12 of the Hounds' 19 goals, while Bladon added two assists to her name, including one of Michielin's five goals on the afternoon.

INS & OUTS
On the attack the Greyhounds had seven unique goalscorers tonight; including Michielin who recorded her third game with at least five goals this season. Michielin now has 53 goals on the season, which now positions her at 21st in the country in goals scored. Fahlke also found the back of the net three times for the fifth time this season, making her the first freshman since 2023 when Olivia Bladon had seven such games.

On the defensive side of things, Mariah Whitfield had a career best game today with four draw controls, four caused turnovers and three ground balls. Her four draw controls are the most in a single game in her career, and are the most by a primary defender in a game this season. The Hounds as a team had 17 ground balls, the 11th such game this season with at least 17 scoops.

The Greyhounds also dominated once again in the draw circle, winning 19 of 24 draws in today's contest. Fahlke won six draw controls today, while five other Greyhounds, including Whitfield's four, had at least two on the afternoon.
