QUINCY, Ill. – The No. 3 UIndy women's lacrosse team ended its 2026 regular season with a 24-3 win over Quincy, and its third best record in program history at 15-1, only behind the 2019 and 2022 seasons.
Along with its third best regular season record in program history, it is also the fourth time in program history the Greyhounds have managed an unbeaten record in regular season conference play.
12 different Hounds scored today, making it the most goal scorers in a game for UIndy this season, and 11 different players with an assist, including Megan Gehrt who had a career best four assists in today's game.
INS & OUTS
The Hounds were not messing around in its regular season finale, jumping out to a commanding 10-1 lead in the first quarter. This is the second time all season UIndy has managed double digit goals in a quarter. Alexa Versaci, Maggie Durkin, Margaret Galloway, and Olivia Bladon, were the recipients of eight of the team's first 10 goals, with Elle Cimini and Sage Da Silva rounding out the first quarter goal scorers.
UIndy didn't allow many opportunities for Quincy to possess the ball, in large part due to Bladon's near immaculate performance in the draw circle. Bladon recorded the second most draw controls in program history in a single game with 21, only ranking behind current head coach Peyton Romig, who had 22 in a game against Missouri Western.
Coming out of the break already up 14-2, the Hounds didn't slow down in the second half, finding the back of the net 10 more times. A trio of freshmen – Ava Maloni, Sadie Nugent, and Sophia Griswold-Beltz – scored in the fourth quarter. Maloni's free position goal marks the first of her career, while both Griswold-Beltz and Nugent have now scored in the same game on three different occasions this season. Â
