KENOSHA, Wis. — UIndy secured a narrow 6–5 victory followed by a decisive 10–4 win over Parkside at Historic Simmons Field on Friday.
In the first game, UIndy's offense was highlighted by a three-run fourth inning, contributing to its 12-hit performance, while the second game featured a six-run rally in the fifth inning and three more runs in the seventh to seal the win.
GAME 1 | UIndy 6, Parkside 5
Griffin Hallahan started the game and recorded four strikeouts over three innings only allowing three earned runs.
Ryan O'Born delivered a strong performance in relief, pitching four innings without allowing a run while surrendering only two hits and striking out one batter. While
Drake Downing faced some challenges, giving up two earned runs on two hits and issuing two walks over two innings of work.
UIndy began its scoring in the second inning when
Garrett Rusch singled and advanced to third base on
Brayton Bowen's double.
Carter Thomas brought Rusch home with a ground out, giving the Greyhounds a 1-0 lead through two innings. In the fourth inning, the Greyhounds extended their lead with a
Chase Mason double and a walk to
Solen Munson, both runners advanced on a strikeout. Thomas then delivered a two-run single, and later scored on
Joey Humphrey's single, putting UIndy ahead 4-0. Parkside responded in the bottom of the inning, scoring three runs to tie the game 4-4.
The game remained close in the fifth inning as Parkside added two more runs to take a 5-4 lead. UIndy kept the pressure on and tied the game in the seventh inning when
Austin Bode scored on Munson's single, making it 5-5. In the ninth inning,
Gavin Duran doubled and was driven in by a bases-loaded walk from Rusch, putting the Greyhounds ahead 6-5. UIndy's defense held in the bottom of the ninth, securing the victory.

Carter Thomas contributed with three RBIs, delivering crucial runs with a hit and a hit-by-pitch.
Chase Mason added two hits, one of which was a double, and successfully stole two bases.
Solen Munson reached base four times, recording one hit and three walks, while also scoring a run.
GAME 2 | UIndy 10, Parkside 4
Aidan Pearson delivered a solid start for the Greyhounds, pitching six innings while allowing three earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts over his 93-pitch outing.
Kaleb Marrs took over in relief, throwing one inning and conceding one run on one hit.
UIndy took an early lead in the first inning when
Gavin Duran walked and advanced to second on a throwing error.
Chase Mason singled to right center, bringing Duran home to make the score 1-0 UIndy through one inning. In the bottom of the third, Parkside tied the game. Joe Mrowiec walked and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Benjamin Loyd's sacrifice fly to center field allowed Mrowiec to score, leveling the game at 1-1.
The fifth inning saw significant action from both teams. The Greyhounds capitalized on Parkside's errors as
Bret Perry reached on a fielding error and scored on
Gavin Duran's bunt single.
Austin Bode scored on
Chase Mason's single to left center, which was aided by a fielding error.
Garrett Rusch hit a two-run double, scoring Duran and Mason. A sacrifice fly by
Carter Thomas and an RBI single from
Austin Pokley capped off a six-run inning, giving UIndy a 7-3 lead. Parkside responded with two runs in their half, as Carter Storti scored on an RBI ground out and Joe Mrowiec came home on an infield single, reducing the Greyhounds' lead to 7-3 through five innings.
In the seventh inning, UIndy extended its lead.
Luke Smock singled and stole second base before
Bret Perry's RBI single. Mason then doubled to bring home Perry and Bode, pushing the Greyhounds' advantage to 10-4, which stood as the final score.
Chase Mason led the offensive effort with three hits and drove in three runs, including a crucial two-out RBI.
Gavin Duran contributed significantly by scoring two runs and collecting two hits, while also making five assists in the field.
Austin Bode added two hits, including a double, and reached base three times with a hit-by-pitch and a walk.
Garrett Rusch was effective at the plate, driving in two runs with a double.
