TEMPE, Ariz. – The UIndy men's tennis team remained ranked fifteenth in the latest ITA National Poll, per the release Wednesday, April 8.
The Greyhounds held serve in the national ranks following a strong 4-2 win over Wayne State, who were ranked No. 16 at the time. Last week's win moved their record to 9-4, and their fifth ranked-win of the season. UIndy also holds an unblemished 6-0 record against regional opponents, and are the highest ranked team in the Midwest in the latest poll publication.
Moving onto individual rankings, Asier Ayllon Prado was ranked inside the top-20 for the fifth consecutive week, cranking the list at No. 14. The sophomore's win against WSU helped his singles record to 18-4, with a pair of ranked wins. Tadeo Gaggiofatto moved up two spots from last week, coming in at No. 34. Gaggiofatto also owns two ranked wins in singles play, with an overall record of 14-5.
The Hounds now focus their sights to GLVC competition, beginning league play in St. Louis this Friday, April 10, in a 2 PM dual with Maryville.
