GREENWOOD, Ind. – The No. 13-ranked and top-seeded UIndy men's tennis team opened its conference title defense with a 4-0 sweep of Rockhurst Saturday in the GLVC Tournament semifinal. The Greyhounds grinded out the doubles point and got three straight-set wins in singles to earn an incredible 12th consecutive appearance in the conference championship match.

The GLVC title will be decided on Sunday when regular season division-winners UIndy (East) and Drury (West) go head-to-head on the courts of Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Ind. The match is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. ET.

In a rematch of last year's conference final, the Greyhounds dispatched of Rockhurst in short order. The Hounds won the doubles points with wins from their top two teams;
Mathieu Derache &
Asier Ayllon Prado took down the Hawks' No. 1 team of Alex Tikhonov and Alexi Khamrotau, 6-2, while the No. 2 doubles pair of
Tadeo Gaggiofatto and
Zaid Shelbaya bested Oliver Dickason and Josef Truhlar, 6-4.

Single play followed suit, as the top three Greyhounds won in straight sets to seal the victory. Prado moved to 14-3 on the season at the No. 1 spot, beating Tikhonov 6-1, 6-3. Gaggiofatto at No. 2 and Derache at No. 3 also won in straight sets.
