#13 Men's Tennis Captures 15th GLVC Tournament Championship in 4-0 sweep against #44 Drury

INDIANAPOLIS – For the fourth straight year, the No. 13 UIndy men's tennis team was crowned GLVC Tournament Champions, blanking Drury 4-0.

This is the 15th GLVC title for the men's tennis program, and the eighth championship under Malik Tabet's tutelage. Along with the title, Tabet received GLVC Coach of the Year honors for the fourth consecutive year.

Additionally, GLVC Player of the Year Asier Ayllon Prado, Mathieu Derache and Tadeo Gaggiofatto were named to the 2025 GLVC All-Tournament Team. The Greyhounds had the most players recognized to this year's All-Tournament team.

INS AND OUTS
The Hounds began the sweeping effort with narrow victories in doubles play. Derache and Ayllon Prado, the No. 47 doubles pair in the nation, erased a break deficit and turned in a 6-4 win over Tristan Stock and Lukas Rieber on court #1 to get things started for UIndy.

Doubles duty was finished by Jovan Matovic and Lorenzo Di Cursi on court #3, where they outpaced Oscar Reis and Marco Romano 6-4 to clinch the opening point.

Ayllon Prado, the No. 22 singles player by the ITA, wasted no time transitioning to singles play, serving a 6-1, 6-1 double breadstick win to Jesus Gonzalez on court #1.

UIndy gained a 3-0 lead after a gritty finish from Di Cursi on court six, who downed Reis 6-4 in the first set, and outlasting him in a second set breaker.

Jovan Matovic clinched the title for UIndy in comeback fashion, erasing a 5-7 first set deficit with a pair of 6-1 results against Stock to claim victory for the Hounds.
