CALEDONIA, Mich. – The No. 17 UIndy football team lost a non-conference contest at Davenport Saturday afternoon, 19-12. On their first road trip of the season, the Greyhounds outscored their hosts in the second half, but the Panthers ultimately held on for the win in the intra-region matchup.

INS & OUTS
UIndy found itself in a 16-0 hole at midway point until finding some momentum in the second half. The Greyhounds rushed for 74 yards in the third quarter and turned a DeBrince Johnson interception into a 56-yard touchdown drive, capped by Nick Patterson's three-yard TD pass to Giovani Laurent.

The Greyhounds continued to move the ball in the fourth, generating eight first downs in the final period, with Patterson throwing for 116 yards and a touchdown. He connected with Kaleb Carver for 58 yards on the Hounds' final scoring drive, later finding Garrett Sherrell for an eight-yard touchdown with  2:29 remaining to make it a six-point game.

The Hounds failed on the onside kick attempt, however, and the Panthers were able run out the clock and hang on for the win.
