INDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy men's soccer team fell on the road 1-0 to the University of Findlay Oilers in their final game of non-conference play.

Through the opening 10 minutes each side felt out the game, trading possessions and set piece opportunities before UIndy attempted to strike first.

In the 16th minute Erik Ingstrom took the first shot of the game, but was stopped by the Findlay keeper. 

Immediately after the Findlay save, the Oilers responded with a shot on target and the first goal to sneak past the Greyhounds all season. UIndy lost possession soon after, letting up another shot, but the Oilers were off the mark on their second attempt of the game. 

After the 17th minute goal, the Greyhounds looked for an equalizer with a free kick and corner kick in the 19th minute, but were unable to find a touch to challenge the Oiler keeper. 

As halftime approached physical play continued form both sides with each team picking up a number of free kicks before the Greyhounds sent in two more shots before the close of the first half. 

Findlay dominated possession early in the second half before the Hounds pushed towards the Findlay goal after the 50 minute mark. In the 54th Alejandro Zuniga took his second shot attempt of the game, but just missed the target.

Both teams then struggled to find the opportunity to find a quality chance until the final 10 minutes of action when each side pushed forward with the Oilers looking to slam the door, but the Greyhounds continued to limit the offensive efforts of the hosts. 

However, despite a handful of chances around the Findlay box, the Greyhounds were unable to find their equalizer.

The Greyhounds return to action Saturday, Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m. against Rockhurst in their first conference contest of the season.
