INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis senior defensive specialist Macy Bruton, was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Defensive Players of the Week in women's volleyball, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

• Named to Wheeling Hall of Fame/Alumni All-Tournament Team after helping UIndy go 4-0 and remain undefeated (8-0) for the program's best start since 2009
• Registered 77 digs (6.42/set) and just one reception error in 12 sets
• Added nine assists, two aces, and one kill
• Best performance came against California (PA), tallying career-high 28 digs and two assists
  • Came up one dig shy of the program record for digs in a three-set match
• Earns first career Defensive Player of the Week Award
