EJ Devarie enters his fourth season with Greyhounds baseball program in 2025.
In his second year with the Greyhounds, Devarie worked with the infielders, a position group which excelled for the Hounds. That group tallied 153 stolen bases on 180 attempts, and were lead by Caleb Vaughn, who broke the single season stolen base record.
Prior to arriving in Indianapolis, Devarie spent a season at Seton Hall University in 2023 as their volunteer assistant coach, and before his stint with Seton Hall, was an assistant coach in the Cape Cod League with the Brewster Whitecaps during 2021. He helped lead the Whitecaps to the 2021 Cape Cod League Championship.
Devarie also had stops at Keystone College in Pennsylvania and Marian University in Indianapolis working with hitters and infielders. He helped guide Keystone College to a regular season and conference tournament title, leading to an eventual NCAA DIII Regional appearance.
Devarie entered the coaching profession following a four-year career at Ball State University and two seasons in the American Association where he played for the Gary Southshore Railcats.
Outside of his work with college teams, Devarie spent time mentoring numerous MLB draftees, including four first round selections, and 25 total MLB draft selections.
