Jeremy Honaker joined the UIndy baseball staff in the fall of 2020 after spending two years as the head coach at Martinsville High School.

Also the head coach for the 16U Midwest Canes Baseball Travel team, Honaker led Martinsville to a 22-8 record in 2019, capturing Mid-State Conference Coach of hte Year accolades after winning both league and sectional championships. He implemented a positive culture focused on team accountability and was able to bring the community together to make substantial upgrades to the baseball facilities through fundraising and donations.

Prior to his time at Martinsville and with the Canes, Honaker coached at Zionsville High School and with The Indiana Bulls Travel Organization. In eight seasons with Zionsville, his responsibilities included working with the hitters and the infielders. He was the varsity head assistant coach from 2014-2018 and the program’s hitting coach. Zionsville went 112-45-1 in that span, winning three sectionals, two regionals and one semi-state, advancing to the IHSAA 4A title game in 2016.

Honaker also spent several years with the Indiana Bulls as head coach of the 15U and 16U ages. He has been instrumental in the development and recruitment of dozens of players who have played at all levels of collegiate and professional baseball.

Coach Ready is very excited to have Honaker on the coaching staff: “We are very lucky to have a someone like Coach Honaker working with our guys. He’s been at this for a long time and he brings a tremendous amount of experience and success with him.”

Honaker attended Connersville High School and played collegiately at conference-rival University of Southern Indiana. He currently resides in Noblesville with his wife Misha.
