Entering his second year as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant. During his first year he was the primary sports information director for the NCAA Tournament team's UIndy wrestling, men's and women's tennis and baseball. Walton previously served as an intern for the past two academic years working with men’s and women’s tennis and track & field, as well as a staff photographer for all 23 varsity sports.
Walton graduated from the University of Indianapolis in May 2022 with his degree in communication with a concentration in journalism. Over his four years he worked at the Reflector, serving as Editor in Chief, Sports Editor, Photo Editor, and Business Manager. For his work with the Reflector, he won numerous awards for writing, page design, sports, news photograpy as well as leading the publication to the 2021 DII Newpaper of the Year accolade.
He also worked with WICR 88.7 The Diamond as a sports commentator, calling numerous UIndy football and basketball games.
A current resident of Indianapolis, he is pursuing his master’s degree in Public Relations.
