Jaylon Bester took over as Running Backs Coach in 2023. The Belleville, Ill., native enters his first season as a coach after his recent graduation from Miami University.
Bester was a standout rusher for the Division I RedHawks as a student-athlete. He played in a combined 33 games his first three seasons before battling a number of injury issues in the latter half of his collegiate career.
His best season came in 2019, earning Team Offensive MVP honors while leading Miami to a MAC title and an appearance in the LendingTree Bowl. Bester amassed 741 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on the season, finding the end zone at least once in 10 consecutive contests.
