Mike Ridings joins the UIndy staff in 2013 as the tight ends and h-backs coach. At a relatively young age, Ridings brings a wealth of coaching, scouting and recruiting experience to the Greyhound staff. He comes to the Circle City after spending the previous season at the Assistant Director of Recruiting at the Univeristy of Kentucky.
Ridings got his coaching start as a student assistant at Indiana University from 2006-08, helping the Hoosiers to an appearance in the 2007 Insight Bowl -- their first postseason berth in 14 years.
After earning his Bachlor's of Science in Sports Marketing and Management from IU, he spent the 2009 season as the wide receivers coach at the University of Saint Francis. There he supported a USF offense that set single-season school records for passing yards, touchdown passes and receiving yards.
Ridings spent the next two seasons at Lindsey Wilson College, again as the receivers coach. In 2011, he helped the Blue Raiders to seven wins and a second-place finish in the Mid-South Conference East Division in just the second year of the program's existence.
Ridings will complete his Master's in Sports Administration from Western Kentucky University in the summer of 2013.
