Ryan Somsky

Graduate Assistant Ryan Somsky begins his second season on the UIndy sidelines in 2012.  Somsky will work with the tight ends after previously assisting with the Greyhound offensive line.

Last season, the Aurora, Ill., native coached an o-line that supported an attack that led the conference in passing offense (284.5 ypg) and ranked fourth in sacks allowed (1.2 spg).  Two UIndy o-line earned all-conference nods, as Joe Britner made the second team cut ans Andrew Mansaray earned honorable mention.

Somsky will no doubt draws from his high school coaching experiences, as he previously coached football at both Delphi and North Montgomery High Schools, as well as boys’ and girls’ basketball at NMHS.

Both schools are close to Purdue University, where he previously studied behavioral neuroscience.  He studied secondary education at IUPUI.
