Sean Collins

Indianapolis-native Sean Collins enters his second season on the UIndy staff in 2017. The former Cathedral High School standout and Purdue University student-athlete will move over to coach the defensive backs after working with the outside linebackers in 2016.

Collins came to UIndy after working the 2015 season at nearby DePauw University as the sam/nickel linebacker coach, helping the Tigers to an 8-2 record.

Prior to that, he found success at the high school level locally with Cathedral and Christ the King, including handling offensive coordinator duties for the former during its 2014 IHSAA Class 5A state-championship run.

Before earning a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Purdue, Collins spend three seasons as a walk-on defensive back for the Boilermakers, earning a varsity letter in 2011. He was also a two-time state champ as a prep at Cathedral.
