Megan Vandergrift

Megan Vandergrift started working at her alma mater in the fall of 2017 as an assistant athletic trainer after graduating the previous May from the UIndy athletic training program. The Fishers, Ind., native will work with the men’s lacrosse team after being the senior student athletic trainer with them last season.

During her time as a student, Vandergrift worked with a number of UIndy programs, including football, soccer, baseball, softball, wrestling, basketball and lacrosse. She also spent time at nearby Marian University and Butler University assisting with their athletic teams.

In addition, Vandergrift has presented at the annual IATA state meeting and the regional GLATA meeting, and also aided at a clinic for injured athletes, put on by one of the UIndy team doctors.

Vandergrift is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association (GLATA) and Indiana Athletic Trainers Association (IATA). She is currently working towards a Masters in Science of Management at UIndy.
