Rob Coonfield

Rob Coonfield enters his 12th season as the goalkeeper coach on the men’s soccer staff in 2023.

In his time at UIndy, the goalkeepers have posted 0.788 goals against average and 4 GLVC All-Conference Teams (three First Team sections and one Third Team selection).  Coach Coonfield has helped UIndy earn a 128-43-28 record, a pair of NCAA Division II Final Four appearances (2019 & 2021) alongside three GLVC tournament championships (2014, 2017, & 2021). He was also a member of the UIndy coaching staff that was named as the 2021 NCAA DII Midwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year. 

A three-year member and 2007 graduate of the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats, Coonfield helped IWU to a pair of Mid-Central Conference season championships and a Region VIII final. He was an NSCAA All-American First Team selection in 2006-2007, and an NCCAA Midwest All-Region team honoree. Coonfield also earned the NAIA Champions of Character Award and was a two-year team captain and chaplain.

Coonfield earned his Bachelor's degree in General Studies with a concentration in Special Education from Indiana Wesleyan in 2007. He also holds a USSF D License and an NSCAA Level I Goalkeeping Diploma.
 
Coach Coonfield and his wife, Aimee, have two children: Addison (6) and Caden (4).
