Brandon Auker enters his first season as an assistant coach at UIndy as a graduate assistant. In this position, he assists Coach Dodd with summer camps and assists Coach Malone with working with the guards.

Auker attended Elmhurst College where he was a four-year letterman in basketball, where he was voted as a captain by his teammates for his senior season. He played in 17 games and started the final three games of the 2017-18 season for the Bluejays. He was unanimously selected as the recipient of the teammate award for men’s basketball at the end of his senior season.

During his prep career, Auker attended Evansville Reitz Memorial High School where he played varsity basketball all four years. During his senior year he averaged over 12 points per game while shooting 42% from the field, Auker also dished out 4.5 assists per game, pulled down over two rebounds a game, and got it done on the defensive end as well averaging over two steals a game for the Tigers. During that season, the Tigers went 17-7 and won the school’s first sectional title since 2008, earning him a spot on the SIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention team. Auker also played on Memorial’s golf team that qualified for the IHSAA State Finals in 2014.

Auker graduated from Elmhurst in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with a minor is Business Administration. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Sports Management.
