Evan Dodd

Evan Dodd enters his third season as an assistant coach at UIndy in 2020-21 after spending the 2017-18 season as an assistant coach of Indiana State women’s basketball.

During the 2017-18 season, he was responsible for scouting every other game as well as coaching the post players. He guided forward Wendi Bibbins to first team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors as she finished her career second in school history with an average of 8.5 rebounds per game while her 67 steals rank 10th in school history. Bibbins’ season and style of play under Dodd’s guidance was so notable she inked a professional contract with Riva Basket in the Swiss Basketball League after leaving the ISU campus.

He was elevated to assistant coach of Sycamore women's basketball in May of 2017 after serving as a graduate assistant for the previous two seasons, focusing on video and operation duties for the Sycamores. In his new role, he will oversaw team camps, recruiting, and worked primarily with post players.

A high school basketball standout, Dodd played two seasons at Hauser High before playing his final two seasons at state powerhouse Columbus North High School. In his career, he scored over 1,000 points, a four-time all-conference selection, and a three-time all-area honoree. As a senior for the Bulldogs, Dodd averaged 14.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.1 blocks per game, leading the Bulldogs to sectional appearances in each of his two seasons. He was a named to the North-South All-Star game and was named one of Hoosier Magazine’s Top 60 seniors in 2011.

Dodd graduated from Indiana State in May 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in physical education with a minor in sport management. He earned his Master’s Degree in sport management in 2017.
