Aimee Coonfield just wrapped up her third season with UIndy after helping the Hounds finish 17-17 overall and 11-7 in the GLVC.

A former setter, Coonfield worked closely with Maggie Gibson this past season, helping Gibson earn GLVC Freshman of the Year honors. She totaled 810 assists, second-most as a freshman in school history.

During the 2014 campaign, Coonfield's second, UIndy finished 19-11 (15-3 GLVC) and reach their eighth straight NCAA Tournament and ninth overall.

Coonfield mentored former setter Meghan Binkerd during the 2013 and 2014 seasons, as Binkerd earned All-GLVC First Team (twice), All-Midwest Region First Team (AVCA twice, Daktronics) and All-America Second Team (AVCA) and Honorable Mention (Daktronics) while working with Coonfield. Binkerd's 5,616 career assists rank first in UIndy history.

Coonfield helped the 2013 squad finish 25-10 (15-3 GLVC), marking the program's 10th 25-win season. The Hounds won their fourth-ever GLVC Tournament, and also earned their seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.

As a student-athlete, Coonfield was a four-year starter at setter and team captain for NCAA Division II Holy Family (2007-10), leading the Tigers to a 76-67 record and the 2010 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference South co-championship.  The Tigers also reached the CACC Tournament championship game with Coonfield leading the way as a senior.

Coonfield went on to earn her master of sport administration at Belmont University in May 2013.  During her time in Nashville, Tenn., she was a facilities graduate assistant in the Belmont Department of Fitness and Recreation responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of more than 50 student employees in a 62,000 square foot recreation facility.  She also assisted in the Belmont athletic department with academic support for student-athletes.

She has coached in the club ranks working with Club Integrity in Philadelphia and traveled the country working camps with Gold Medal Squared.
