Julie Street begins her second season as the UIndy assistant coach in 2019. She was recently given the title of Recruiting Coordinator after continued dedication and success determined by head coach Jason Reed.
During the 2018 season, Street helped put UIndy back in the regional conversation by implementing a new defensive system that assisted in the Greyhounds upending three nationally-ranked teams. Her arrival to the Circle City has not gone unnoticed, as UIndy had its first All-GLVC first-team player since 2014 in Katie Furlong, who was also the program's first all-region performer since the 2014 season.
Street spent the 2017 season as the Director of Volleyball Operations at Miami University of Ohio, where she served as the lead scout and used intensive analytical processes to scout the opposition. She also coordinated all team travel, which involved creating itineraries and overseeing weekly travel.
As an undergraduate from 2014-16, Street served as a student manager for the RedHawks. She also has experience coaching club teams, along with founding the Miami Beach Volleyball team.Â
Street graduated from Miami in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Health, along with a minor in Sport Leadership in Management. She also completed her Master of Science in Exercise Science in August 2018.
