Steve Barrick enters his first year as Associate A.D. for Sports Peformance & Facilities in the summer of 2025.
Barrick previously served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at UIndy for more than a decade. A 2010 UIndy graduate, Barrick has been in the field of Strength and Conditioning for 20 years dating back to his time at the high school level at Indian Creek HS and Franklin Community HS. Since becoming the leader of UIndy's Strength and Conditioning Department, Barrick and his staff have been instrumental in the development of student-athletes from all 25 programs within the university.
A graduate of nearby Center Grove High School, Barrick earned a B.A. in sociology in 2002 from Franklin College, where he was also a four-year letterman in football. Barrick received his B.S. in Exercise Science from UIndy in 2008, and his MAT in Physical Education/Health from UIndy in 2010.

Barrick is a USAW Sports Performance Coach and Club Coach, and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
He and his wife Shannon reside in Greenwood.
