SAGINAW VALLEY STATE 4 - NO. 20 UINDY 1

Jessica Breeden tagged a ball off the left field foul poll to stake the Greyhounds to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second.

The Cardinals got to Jennifer DeMotte in the sixth, loading the bases with no one out for Jillian Peterson. The SVSU senior sent the ball out of the park in a hurry, over the right-center fence to give the home team the 4-1 lead.

NO. 20 UINDY 5 - ASHLAND 0 (SUSPENDED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 2ND INNING)

Krysta Bradford reached on a fielder's choice, giving Jamie Keltz runners on second and third with one out. The Greyhound career homerun leader did what she does best, sending a ball out of the park over the leftfield fence to plate three UIndy runs to push the score to 4-0.

The final run of the inning was scored by Kelsey Rummerl, who reached on a single to the thirdbase side. She stole second, took third on a passed ball and scored on a single up the middle by DeMotte.

The game is suspended in the bottom of the second with one out. Dakota Malayer will be the UIndy batter when play resumes at 10 a.m. from the SVSU Athletic Complex.
