INDIANAPOLIS- With another school year winding down, another National Student-Athlete Day is in in the books. The men's soccer and women's softball team won the obstacle course. This unstoppable tag-team finished the course in under 3 minutes to take the crown.

The student-athletes took part in several events that included: field goal kicking, scoring goals, sinking putts, taking some batting practice, long jump, keeping a volley going, and to finish it off paddled across the pool to finish the event, with only a few student-athletes falling out of the boats this year.

This was not the only highlight of the night. We had several minute-to-win-it contests that had several athletes leaving with $10 gift cards to Dick's Sporting Goods. The student athletes took advantage of a rare opportunity tonight in getting a chance to pie their coaches in the face for a $1. Not only did we all get a lot of laughs, we also helped a great cause as well, with the Greyhounds raising more than $100 for Free2Play. The best was saved for last, UIndy's own Rose Savela closed out the night with a little concert of her own. Singing some of her favorite songs, with the last a combination of six songs put together, for everyone to enjoy. Here at UIndy we really have some talent on our hands!

A special thanks goes out to all who helped make this a  successful night that everyone will remember, from all of the chairholders, group members, and volunteers, the coaches willing to let their players pie them, to Rose for singing for everyone, and to our great sponsors as well.
