Men, Women, Both Take Fourth at the GLVC Championship

- The UIndy Cross Country teams competed against the rest of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Saturday, at the league's 2013 Cross Country Championships, hosted by Maryville.

The Greyhound women took fourth of the 14 teams participating, with Sutton Knapp leading UIndy with a 6th place overall finish. Knapp posted a time of 22:06 in traversing the 6K course, and was followed closely by Emily Bernstein in 10th with a time of 22:24 and Jacklyn Howland in 19th with a time of 22:36.

With their top 15 finishes, Knapp and Bernstein earned ALL-GLVC honors for the year.

UIndy's men were led by Alex Cushman's fifth place finish to take fourth of 13 GLVC teams running. Cushman crossed the 8K course in24:37 to lead the Greyhounds with Craig Jordan taking 19th in 25:45. Sean O'Brien and Jacob Fisher followed next with times of 26:17 and 26:19 with 35th and 26th places respectively.  

Cushman was dubbed All-GLVC following the race, by virtue of his top-15 finishes amongst the competitors.

The Greyhounds race next in two weeks, at the Indiana Open in Bloomington.
