SPOKANE, Wash.- UIndy Cross Country's Alex Cushman closed out the 2013 season a the NCAA Division II National Championships Saturday at the Plantes Ferry Sports Complex.

Cushman closed out the year with a 49th place finish at the race, in a time of 31:28.0. The junior was the lone participant for the Greyhounds, and the first UIndy male individual to advance to the national race since 1991, with the entire team making the national meet in 2000.

There were 246 runners in the NCAA field at the 10,000 meter race, with Cushman's time his second-best of the year to his 31:21 finish at the NCAA Regional race two weeks ago.
