GREYHOUNDS IN PUERTO RICO

This week marks UIndy's first-ever trip to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and its first-ever meetings with Division II opponents UPR-Rio Piedras and UPR-Bayamon.  Stats from both schools are unavailable.

The Greyhounds hosted UPR-Mayaguez twice previously, earning wins in November of 1996 and December of 2004.

LAST TIME OUT
Senior Leland Brown scored 20 points to lead seven Greyhounds in double figures in the Hounds' 109-39 dismantling of IU Northwest in Nicoson Hall Dec. 7.  UIndy shot 39-for-67 (.582) from the field while hitting 11 shots from behind the arc for the second consecutive game.

Individually, a number of Greyhounds set career highs on the afternoon, including 12 points and four 3-pointers by Kendall Vieke, eight assists from Reece Cheatham and four steals by Brennan McElroy.

LUCKY 7
Brown (20 points), Cheatham (17), Jared Grady (13), Brennan McElroy (12), Vieke (12), Quinten Hunter (10) and Joe Lawson (10) all reached double figures versus IUN, marking the first time in three years that seven Hounds scored at least 10 points.  The last time it occurred was Nov. 27, 2010, a 103-79 win against Wilberforce.

CENTURY CLUB
UIndy has scored 100 points in three of its last four contests -- a feat last accomplished by the 2010-11 Greyhounds.  The Hounds' average scoring output of 97.4 per game is good for tops in the GLVC and fifth in Division II.

ASSISTED LIVING
UIndy leads the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio, dishing 2.05 dimes for every giveaway.  Each of Division II's top-three teams in the category reside in the Midwest Region, with Findlay (2.046) ranking second and Truman State (2.02) third.

Brown paces the Hounds with 5.0 assists per game, followed by Cheatham's 3.8 per.

POLL POSITION
The Greyhounds broke into the NABC D-II Top 25 last week, debuting at No. 23.  It marked UIndy's first time in the national poll since Feb. 12 of last season when it reached the No. 12 spot.

Three other GLVC squads appeared in the current poll, including Bellarmine (2), Drury (3) and Southern Indiana (9).

HOT START
Winners of their first six contests, the Greyhounds are a third of the way to matching the program record for most wins to start a season.  The 1996-97 club ripped off 18 straight victories before enduring its first loss.  Last year, UIndy won each of its first 12 contests.
