ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The UIndy volleyball team picked up another win in their second road game, competing against Lewis University. The Greyhounds took the match in three straight sets (25-22, 25-19, 25-12) to end the Flyers nine game win streak and pull into a tie for first in the GLVC East Division.

UIndy had many players excel in the evening match. Senior
Arielle Knafel led the Hounds in hitting with .409 and 11 kills, junior
Hailey Brown was also in the double digits in kills with 10. Setter
Meghan Binkerd had 35 assists on the night to lead her team to 47 kills in total.

Leading the Greyhound defense was senior
Kimberly Trojan with 20 digs. Also in double digits in digs were junior
Lynsey Hazelwood (17), Kanfel (14), Brown (10), and Binkerd (10). In addition, UIndy blocked eight of the Flyers attack attempts.

UIndy is now 10-6 overall and 9-2 in the conference. Next up for the Greyhounds is the Mizuno GVC/GLIAC Crossover in Aurora, Ill., Oct 17-18.
