SOMERS, Wisc.- The Greyhound men's soccer team fought to a 0-0 double-overtime tie at Wisconsin-Parkside in Great Lakes Valley Conference play on the final league Friday night of the 2014 regular season schedule.
UIndy (8-4-3; 8-3-2 GLVC) out-shot the host Rangers (8-7-1; 5-7-1 GLVC) 26-8 on the night, with 10 of the shots being on-goal. Both teams were awarded seven corner kicks apiece.
Daniel Wellmann led the Greyhound offense with seven shots, while
Ngwese Ebangwese added six to the gaudy UIndy total.
In goal,
Andrew Verhonik faced eight shots and wasn't forced to make a save on the night.
The Greyhounds host their final home contest of the regular season Sunday, with Lewis coming to Key Stadium for a 2:30 p.m. match. UIndy will then close out the 2014 regular season at Saint Joseph's Wednesday, with GLVC Championship Tournament play opening next weekend.
